Reception

Welcome to Reception's Class Page!

Katarina Perry RP Class Teacher
Penny Chen RC Class Teacher

As a team, we are committed to working closely together with you to ensure that your child is getting the most out of their time at Sunnyhill. We hope that you, as the children’s primary caregivers, will work in close partnership with us to make sure their time at primary school is fulfilling and enjoyable.

If you would like to speak with us you are welcome to see us at the end of the school day in the playground. If you have something you would like to discuss with us privately, you can call the school and ask for an appointment or you can email us at kperry@sunnyhill.lambeth.sch.uk or pchen@sunnyhill.lambeth.sch.uk

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Home Learning

We have created termly dip n dos for you to do home learning with your child (you can find these below). You can do these activities as and when you would like to. We would love to see your creations so please do bring them into school so that we can celebrate the work your child is doing at home.

Your child will have books uploaded to the Collins Connect online reading system. You will have received a letter with login details - if you need the information again, please see your child’s class teacher. Each week we will visit the school library and the children can bring that book home to share with you. Your child will also come home with weekly phonics and tricky words to practice at home.

At the end of each half term we will send out a whole school homework for children to create something which demonstrates what they have been learning in school.  We have an assembly to celebrate the children’s work when we return to school.

General Information

 PE days are:

RP Monday

RC Friday.

Children can wear their PE Kits to school on these days.

Attendance

We encourage children to come to school every day. If your child is unwell and unable to attend school, it is very important that you call to let us know on the usual school number 0208 769 4785. If your child’s attendance falls below 90%, you will be contacted by our attendance officer. If you need any support with getting your child to come to school, please speak to your child’s class teacher.

Meet the Teacher

At the beginning of the academic year your child's class teacher held a Meet the Teacher session in which they gave lots of information about the learning that will take place this year. If you have any questions, please see your child's class teacher.
