Workshops
At Sunnyhill, we would like you to be fully involved in your child's education. To give you more understanding of what your child is learning, we run a series of parent/carer workshops. These workshops are a chance for you to ask any questions you have, get to know other parents/carers and be confident help your child with their learning.
Each year, we run a series of parent/carer workshops in phonics, reading, maths and online safety. At points in the year, we also hold meetings for secondary transfer, KS2 tests (SATs) RHE (Relationships and Health Education).
Workshops and meetings are usually held at the start of the school day in person or late afternoon online for those who are unable to attend meetings in the morning.
In addition Ms Smith holds regular SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) workshops which are open to all parents/carers of children who have additional needs (including those whose children do not have an official diagnosis). It’s a good opportunity to meet other parents/carers of pupils with SEND and to share strategies together.
Workshops and meetings usually last for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
